Candlelight – December 14, 15, and 16 at 8:00 p.m.

"Candlelight," the Norwalk High School winter concert, will be performed December 14, 15, and 16 at 8:00 p.m. The performance lasts just over one hour. Candlelight is the oldest high school winter concert in New England. It began in Norwalk in the 1930s and has been performed every year, with the exception of two years during World War II, when lights-out regulations prevented it from being performed.

"Candlelight" includes performances from all 600+ Norwalk High School music students (including the orchestra, chorus, and band). Additional parking is available at Andrews Field and Naramake for this event. Please plan accordingly to make sure you are on time.  The doors will be closed to admission at 7:50 p.m.

Welcome to Norwalk High School!

We have many exciting activities planned this year and I look forward to meeting you and your children.  It is my goal to work closely with you in order to make your child's experience with Norwalk High School and the Norwalk High School Music Department a positive one.

Included in this packet are the Choral Calendar, the Additional Extra-Curricular Activities, Grading Rubric, Assertive Discipline Plan, and the required concert attire details.  Please go over this carefully with your child so they clearly understand the expectations for this course.

Please read through each document with your child carefully.  It is critical that you note the required performances and rehearsals in December and April.  After carefully perusing each document, please completely fill out the information below, sign your name, have your child sign their name, and have your child return the front page by Sept. 15, 2015.

The information in this packet and additional information may be found on our website.  The address is listed above.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter and welcome to Norwalk High School!
